Refund Policy

Last updated October 19, 2026. This policy explains when a payment for the stenograph.ai service can be refunded and how to ask. There is no plan at zero. Before you pay, the one-time demo on the home page lets you hear and read the result on your own voice, so you can judge quality first. Questions go to [email protected], the address of the administrator of the stenograph.ai service.

1. All sales are final

A Stenograph subscription is a payment for access to the service for a billing period, monthly or yearly, not a payment per use. Once a period is paid, the payment is final and is not refunded, whether or not you use the service during that period.

By subscribing, you ask us to start providing the service immediately. Where the law gives consumers a right to withdraw from a contract for digital services, you acknowledge that this right is lost once performance has begun with your consent, which happens the moment your plan becomes active.

2. What is never refunded

We do not refund payments in these situations, among others:

  • you changed your mind after subscribing;
  • you did not use the service, or used it less than expected;
  • a renewal was charged after earlier payment attempts failed and were retried;
  • you believed the subscription was a one-off payment rather than a renewing one;
  • you forgot to cancel before a renewal;
  • you are dissatisfied with the accuracy of AI transcription or formatting, since output varies with audio quality, speakers and subject matter;
  • you expected a feature that is not described for your plan on the pricing page;
  • you chose the wrong plan, billing period or number of seats;
  • you want a refund for part of a period after cancelling or downgrading;
  • the account was suspended for sharing access or for other breaches of the Terms of Service.

3. The only exceptions

We refund a payment only in one of these cases:

  • Duplicate charge. You were charged twice for the same subscription and the same period.
  • Unauthorized charge. A charge you did not authorize, reported to us within 14 days of the charge, and supported by records that show you did not make or permit the purchase.
  • Total failure of the service. The service was completely unusable for you, you reported the problem to [email protected] at the time it happened, and we did not resolve it.

Any refund is limited to the amount paid for the affected period and is returned to the original payment method.

4. How to ask for a refund

Email [email protected] within 14 days of the charge, from the address linked to your account, with the date and amount of the charge, the plan, and a short description of which exception applies and why. We review every request against our records and reply by email.

Please contact us before contacting your bank. Opening a chargeback or payment dispute instead of writing to us is a breach of the Terms of Service and leads to closure of the account.

5. Renewals, failed payments and cancelling

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each monthly or yearly period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in your account settings. After cancelling, you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for, and no further charges are made.

If a renewal payment fails, our payment processor retries it over the following days and access may pause until the invoice is paid. Paying an outstanding invoice restores access for that period and is not refundable.

6. Records we keep

To handle requests and disputes fairly, we keep records of each purchase:

  • the time of purchase and of each renewal;
  • the plan, billing period and price shown at checkout;
  • your acceptance of the Terms of Service and this Refund Policy;
  • service emails sent to you, such as sign-up codes and receipts;
  • an activity log of your account, such as sign-ins and usage counts;
  • the payment processor's records of the transaction.
